join nass
At NASS, we’re building a community dedicated to advancing Indigenous health and representation in surgery. Our members include Native students (high school through medical school), surgical residents, fellows, and practicing surgeons who share a passion for improving the well-being of Native communities. We do require proof of heritage to join NASS and be eligible for scholarships, Council and committee positions. However, we also invite non-Native allies and stakeholders, as well as Native allied physicians in specialties outside of surgery, who support our vision to get involved.
By joining NASS, you’ll gain access to mentorship, networking, and leadership opportunities—all while helping shape the future of Indigenous healthcare. Explore the initiatives below to learn how you can participate in our development committees and make a meaningful impact.
